Komix Lab 2016
Workshop at Waza Art Center of Lubumbashi (Lubumbashi, 2016)
This workshop began with an introduction to the fundamental concepts of comics—narrative structure, visual storytelling, and sequential art—before evolving into a collective creation process that culminated in the production of a shared work. This work was presented in December 2016 during the launch of the Collective Les Mines Lushoises.
Participants included Merveille Abilwa, Jordy Sadiki, Pierre Mutombo, Clément Keba, and Daniel Mukembe. The National Museum in Lubumbashi served as a key source of inspiration, providing historical, cultural, and visual references that informed both the narratives and aesthetic approaches developed throughout the workshop.
