From Hiroshima to Shinkolobwe

This short animated film explores the invisible links between Congo and Japan while tracing, in reverse, the chronology and trajectory of uranium extracted from the Shinkolobwe mine and used in the manufacture of the first two atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

This work won the Mizuho Award at Tokyo Geidai Art Des 2024.
