FOLLOWING THE
LINE
Following the Line is not a new artwork or a separate project. It is a way of looking back at my artistic practice and presenting how it has evolved through different works, gestures, questions and forms of drawing. Looking back at my work, I began to see a line running through different works, places and periods of my practice. This trajectory is presented through three interconnected chapters: I — Drawing as Splitting II — Drawing Invisible III — Drawing as Crossing From splitting and fragmenting space, to making existing connections visible, to exploring drawing as a way of crossing between bodies, territories, histories, objects and forms of knowledge. The works themselves remain independent. What changes is the way I look at them together: the connections between them become more visible, and the evolution of my practice becomes easier to follow. The video above brings together selected works chronologically, offering an introduction to this trajectory. The chapters that follow provide further context for the works and the questions that connect them. This is not a finished history of the work, but an ongoing way of following the lines that run through it. The line continues.
